Residential Support

Live for Life Aspen

At Live for Life Aspen, we strive to provide superior transition services in a residential support setting that helps teens and young adults ages 16-21 successfully reintegrate into the community following placement from a higher level of care.

We achieve this by providing temporary housing, re-entry support services, and skill development by providing evidence-based programming.

Our approach is to engage youth in transition conversations about their futures, their dreams, and their plans and then assist youth in identifying and attaining goals in the following domains: Curriculum covers essential skills such as Communicating Effectively, Decision Making, Goal Setting, Problem-Solving, Skills for School and Beyond, Game Plan for Work, Getting the Job, On the Job, Preparing for College and Careers, and more.

Program Facts

Skills-Based Groups

Live for Life Aspen utilizes Overcoming Obstacles as our skills-based curriculum. The curriculum covers essential skills such as Communicating Effectively, Decision Making, Goal Setting, Problem-Solving, Skills for School and Beyond, Game Plan for Work, Getting the Job, On the Job, Preparing for College and Careers, and more.

Education

Education services are arranged through the local school district and case managers.

The case manager, the local school district, and the parent/guardian will work on education solutions in the client’s best interest. Live for Life Aspen coordinates with the client’s case manager to ensure their educational needs are met.

Work

Clients are required to obtain employment in order to save funds which will assist with their transition into the community.

Restitution

Live for Life Aspen promotes community service and volunteering. All clients are required to do community service, regardless of whether they owe hours.

Clinical Support

By design, Live for Life Aspen is a non-clinical program that introduces youth to mental health providers to meet clinical needs and continue providing services when youth transition to the community.

Family Involvement:

Whenever possible, Live for Life Aspen encourages parents and family engagement as this plays a critical role in the successful completion of the program and their transition back into the community.

A Day in the Life

“The Aspen Program is dedicated to achieving a higher purpose that helps to inspire change and the good in others.”
